DMB Design and Remodel Trade & Technical Scholarship

At DMB Design and Remodel, we believe the future of our industry depends on students who choose to learn the trades — carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, design, cabinetry, and other hands-on fields that keep homes running and communities thriving.
To help encourage that path, we created the DMB Trade & Technical Scholarship, awarded annually to a student enrolled in an accredited trade or technical program.

Scholarship Overview

Award Amount:$500 scholarship awarded annually.
Who Can Apply:Students enrolled in qualifying programs such as:
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC
  • Construction Technology
  • Interior/Architectural Design
  • Cabinetry & Millwork
  • General Contracting
  • Other accredited building-trade programs

Location: Eligible for students attending trade schools, technical colleges, or CTE programs in Chester County and Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and New Castle County, Delaware.

How to Apply

The application is simple and takes just a few minutes.
Submit the following through our online form:
  • Your name and contact information
  • School and program you’re enrolled in
  • Expected graduation date
  • A short written response (300–500 words) to: “Why are you pursuing a career in the trades, and where do you hope it takes you?”

  4. Award Distributed: July 15 - August 1, 2026
Winners will be featured on the DMB Design and Remodel website and social media.

Selection Criteria

Applicants are evaluated based on:
  • Commitment to a career in the skilled trades
  • Clarity and thoughtfulness of the short essay
  • Enrollment in a qualifying trade/technical program
  • Alignment with DMB’s values of craftsmanship, responsibility, and doing the job the right way
We do not evaluate applicants based on GPA or financial need — this scholarship supports passion for the trades and the determination to build a great career.

Do I need to be a full-time student?

No. Part-time students enrolled in qualifying programs are eligible.

Is this scholarship renewable?

No, the $500 scholarship is awarded once per year.

How will the award be paid?
